October 2009: Paris-based Astorg Partners, an independent private equity firm with over EUR 1 billion of funds under management, purchased a majority in Metalor Technologies International SA. Metalor is an international Swiss-based group, with subsidiaries in 15 countries, a headcount of 1380 and net sales of EUR 200 million p.a. It is a leading participant in the field of precious metals and advanced materials. Niederer Kraft & Frey AG acted as legal adviser to the representatives of the exiting and the re-investing shareholders in the complex multiple seller transaction.
