Cybersecurity in the Healthcare Sector: Prevention, Response and Challenges

Niederer Kraft Frey Ltd, Bahnhofstrasse 53, 8001 Zurich, 5:30 p.m.

Almost on a daily basis, we read about cyberattacks in the newspapers. Cybersecurity and data security are becoming an ever greater challenge in all industry sectors and specifically in healthcare, as health data are a popular target. Not least because of the provision recently introduced in article 74 of the revised Medical Devices Ordinance aimed at ensuring cybersecurity in healthcare facilities, hospitals can no longer avoid the issue. Also, more and more connected medical devices are being launched on the market that pose a special challenge, because: a hack could mean danger to life.

To discuss these and further questions, NKF cordially invites you to a workshop on “Cybersecurity in the Healthcare Sector: Prevention, Response and Challenges”.

In a small group of participants, we will discuss the unique challenges of ensuring cybersecurity and data privacy in the healthcare sector and with respect to the use of connected medical devices. What needs to be considered? How can a cyber incident be prevented? How best to prepare in case a medical device or a hospital’s system is hacked? What should be addressed in a response and action plan and what are the challenges in everyday life?

Our experts Janine Reudt-Demont and Clara-Ann Gordon look forward to meeting youAfter the workshop there will be an opportunity for further exchange over an apéro riche.
