Tamir Livschitz is an expert in litigation and arbitration with a particular focus on cross-border disputes in the financial, commodities, construction and sports industries. Tamir has extensive experience representing clients in white-collar crime matters both in respect of internal investigations and in investigations conducted by Swiss and non-Swiss authorities.
In addition, Tamir regularly advises clients in contractual matters and negotiations, in particular in connection with sale and purchase, distribution, agency, supply and manufacturing agreements in a variety of sectors as well as in sports related matters.

Tamir has broad expertise in all aspects of complex domestic and cross-border litigation, including party representation in civil, criminal and administrative matters before all state-court instances and all authorities in Switzerland. Tamir regularly acts as counsel or arbitrator in international commercial arbitration proceedings seated in or outside Switzerland. He is admitted to practice in three different jurisdictions and speaks 7 languages.
Highlights include:
- Counsel for Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) in its internal investigation and in ancillary proceedings
- Defending a large globally active entity in its Swiss Rules arbitration against an Italian plaintiff with a value in dispute of EUR 380 million
- Acting as plaintiff’s counsel in a large insurance claim lodged against a reputable insurance syndicate with a value in dispute of CHF 150 million
- Acting as defense counsel in a large cross-border litigation before the Commercial Court of London with a value in dispute of USD 92 million
- Acting for a number of defendants in an ICC construction arbitration commenced by a Turkish state-owned entity with a value in dispute of CHF 35 million
- Representing an Israeli plaintiff against its contractual counterparty in a EUR 15 million ICC arbitration related to the export of defense goods
- Acting as defense counsel for a Swiss entity in a domestic Swiss Rules arbitration with a value in dispute of CHF 50 million
- Party appointed arbitrator in an ICC arbitration seated in Zurich with a value in dispute of EUR 100 million
- Sole arbitrator in an ICC arbitration seated in Israel between a Nasdaq listed defense goods producer and its contractual counterparty
- Sole arbitrator in an ICC multiparty arbitration related to the international diamond industry with a value in dispute of USD 35 million
