Yannick Wettstein specializes in the regulation of financial services and the structuring, issuance, distribution and listing of investment funds, structured products and other financial instruments. He advises Swiss and foreign banks, investment funds and their management companies, asset managers, investment advisors, distributors and pension funds on the Swiss regulatory and civil law requirements applicable to their organization, services and products. Yannick frequently represents clients in regulatory proceedings before the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), the Occupational Pension Supervisory Commission (OPSC) and SIX Swiss Exchange.

Experience

Yannick’s areas of expertise include the legal structuring of retail and institutional funds, with a particular focus on real estate and alternative investment funds, the regulation of cross-border financial services and the requirements for the offering of financial products in and from Switzerland. Yannick represents clients in the context of licensing, approval and notification proceedings vis-à-vis FINMA. Yannick specialises in pension fund regulation and he advises Swiss and international fund promotors on sales efforts to Swiss pension funds and on the setting-up of tailor-made fund structures for Swiss pension funds. Yannick is a recognised representative of SIX Swiss Exchange and advises in listings of ETFs and structured products.
