Our Sports expertise

Switzerland is host country to a considerable number of international sports federations, including FIFA, IOC, UEFA, IIHF and the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS/CAS) in Lausanne and Swiss law plays a significant role in international sports law, both substantive and procedural.

The NKF team nurtures our long-standing relationships with sports governing bodies and organisations, and maintains NKF’s representative participation at the highest sports arbitration court, the Tribunal Arbitral du Sport/Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS/CAS).

We advise not only on pure questions of law but guide and support our clients on their planning and implementation of strategic and business goals. We harness our expertise and broad industry knowledge and our global network of sports law experts to support our clients effectively and efficiently. We leverage the knowledge and expertise of other NKF specialists, in particular those from the Tax, Competition, Dispute Resolution and Intellectual Property teams to provide seamless advice whatever the issue from the early structuring, drafting and negotiation of complex contracts to the legal planning and holding of major sporting events and representing clients before association and government bodies.
