NKF receives ITR’s European M&A Tax Deal of the Year Award

Niederer Kraft Frey won the European M&A Tax Deal of the Year Award at the International Tax Review’s European Tax Awards in London for its role as lead advisor of Actelion Ltd in the US$30bn acquisition by Johnson & Johnson, combined with a spin-off and listing of its R&D and early clinical operations into Idorsia Ltd. NKF worked as part of an integrated legal team consisting of NKF, Slaughter and May and Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz.

International Tax Review’s editorial staff researched along with private practitioners and in-house tax managers to compile shortlists and choose the winners. The awards were judged according to size, innovation, complexity and impact.
