NKF wins Transatlantic M&A Team of the Year (Large Deal) Award
The American Lawyer named Niederer Kraft Frey ‘Transatlantic M&A Team of the Year (Large Deal)’ at the Transatlantic Legal Awards 2018 in London, hosted with Legal Week and Corporate Counsel.
The annual award recognises international law firms, lawyers and in-house legal departments for their transatlantic deal and transactions performance, focusing on the key areas of corporate, finance and disputes.
NKF was recognised for its role as lead advisor to Actelion Ltd in the paradigm changing US$30bn acquisition by Johnson & Johnson, combined with a spin-off and listing of its R&D and early clinical operations into Idorsia Ltd. The transaction was led by NKF as part of an integrated legal team with Slaughter and May and Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz.
The judging panel consisting of senior ALM journalists and the editors-in-chief of Legal Week and The American Lawyer praised NKF ‘for its innovative handling of a big pharma deal that could shape future M&A transactions in the sector.’
The award reflects NKF’s position as the firm of choice for clients to solve complex business challenges.
