NKF moves to new premises in the heart of Zurich

Niederer Kraft Frey, moved to new premises on Zurich’s Bahnhofstrasse on 1 April 2018.

NKF which employs around 200 people moved the short distance from Bahnhofstrasse 13 to its new offices at Bahnhofstrasse 53, staying in the heart of Zurich.

The firm’s new 6.000 sqm offices are spread over 6 light-flooded floors designed by architect Tilla Theus to facilitate fluid and collaborative work across different specialist teams. Two terraces overlooking the city provide perspective and, together with lounge areas on each floor, contribute to the positive work and team environment.

The listed building at Bahnhofstrasse 53, the former “Volksbankgebäude”, was remodeled and renovated taking into account and retaining its historical character. The newly renovated building was also developed to be environmentally sustainable and is LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental design) certified.

NKF has expanded significantly in recent years. At the new premises, the whole growing NKF team is brought together in a central location with contemporary infrastructure which combines tradition, modern spirit and innovation.

Philippe Weber, managing partner at NKF:

“It is an exciting time for NKF. The new building reflects our local and international business. It was important to us to stay in the heart of Zurich and to be in a location which is easily accessible for our clients and the international law firms with whom we work regularly. B53 brings the whole firm under one roof in a modern and inspiring environment which facilitates the fluid, collaborative way we work. We are grateful to our advisors throughout the project: architect Tilla Theus as well as AXA. It has been a pleasure to work with them.”
