Électricité de France sells its 25% stake in Alpiq to Primeo Energie and EOS Holding

Niederer Kraft Frey advised Électricité de France (EDF) on the sale of its 25% participation in Alpiq Holding AG (SIX listed) to Primeo Energie (EBM) and EOS Holding for a consideration of approximately CHF 489 million. The completion of the transaction is inter alia subject to approval by the German Competition Authority (Bundeskartellamt).

A key player in energy transition, the EDF Group, headquartered in Paris, France, is an integrated electricity company, active in all areas of the business: generation, transmission, distribution, energy supply and trading, energy services.

Based in Lausanne, Switzerland, Alpiq is a leading Swiss energy services provider and electricity producer in Europe.
