Acquisition of OPAL Associates AG

Niederer Kraft Frey advised the buyers on all aspects of the acquisition (including the financing of the acquisition) of the OPAL Associates AG (OPAL) headquartered in Switzerland together with its subsidiaries in Germany and Austria.

OPAL is a leading AutoID system integrator, providing innovative software solutions and services for complex logistics, supply chain systems and SAP®. Founded in Switzerland in 1996, OPAL supports more than 2,700 customers with solutions across the entire automatic data capture value chain, combining hardware, proprietary software and services. The transaction marks an important step in ensuring the long-term development of OPAL, building on its strong market position, long-standing customer relationships and scalable business model.
