Top-tier hires bolster NKF’s corporate and transactional powerhouse
Partners Andreas Müller and Margrit Marti and counsel Philippe Baumann and Juliette Buob to join NKF
Niederer Kraft Frey is pleased to welcome a team of highly regarded lawyers to the firm. Corporate/M&A partners Andreas Müller and Margrit Marti, who joined the firm on 1 October 2026, will be joined by IP/IT counsel Philippe Baumann and Tax counsel Juliette Buob in the coming months. These new arrivals further strengthen NKF’s market-leading Corporate/M&A, IP/IT and Tax practices.

Andreas Müller’s practice focuses on public and private M&A, private equity and capital markets transactions. He regularly advises life sciences and technology companies on their most significant transactions throughout their lifecycle. In addition, Andreas counsels boards of directors and management on complex corporate governance, securities law and executive compensation matters, and in takeover defence and shareholder activism situations. Andreas was named Lexology European M&A and Governance Lawyer of the Year 2025 and has received the Lexology Client Choice Award for Governance or M&A (Switzerland) in each year from 2022 to 2026. He is recognised in all major legal directories, including Chambers Global, Legal 500 and IFLR1000.
Margrit Marti’s practice focuses on M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions. She has extensive experience working with life sciences and technology companies, investors and founders on complex cross-border M&A and financing transactions, IPOs and other capital markets transactions. In addition, she regularly advises on corporate and securities law and corporate governance matters. Margrit has been consistently recognised as a Notable Practitioner by IFLR1000 since 2019.
Philippe Baumann’s practice focuses on IP and IT transactions, particularly in the life sciences and technology sectors. He advises companies on licensing transactions, R&D collaborations, service and supply arrangements, and IT and outsourcing projects. He has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements. In addition to his legal expertise, he has practical experience in software development. Philippe is recognised as a Leading Associate in TMT in Switzerland by Legal 500 and as a Rising Star in Switzerland by IP STARS.
Juliette Buob focuses on tax planning and structuring in M&A transactions, reorganisations, succession planning, family offices and trusts. She regularly advises on the tax implications of complex transactions and structures, with a particular focus on practical and commercially effective solutions. She also advises founders and companies on tax-efficient employee incentive and share-based plans. Juliette is a Swiss Certified Tax Expert and serves as a lecturer in the Swiss Certified Tax Expert education program and as an examiner for its final oral examinations.
